Rain poured down like heavy stones against the paved drive leading up to the Manor. Golden light streaked across the late evening sky, illuminating the surrounding area just as a lean figure appeared with a loud ‘pop’. He stood completely still at the edge of the narrow lane before stowing his wand into his robes. The water-dispelling charm he had casted before h

The fabric of your world

“He’s looking at you again,” a soft voice muttered beside her.
“Just don’t make eye contact with him.”
“Granger, have you seen him? The man is utterly hot. It makes it hard to not notice him.”
“Matter of opinions,” she countered with a hiss. “Leave me alone. I’m trying to read.”

She held the dying newborn in her blood stained hands. Inconsolably, she wept for the fleeting light buried within that would soon extinguish within her child. As death loomed over the pair, something- someone detached themselves from the shadows that had slowly encased her in aeviternal darkness and stepped in front of her.
“It is time,” a deep, luring voice told her. A bony hand reached out to grab the newborn but the woman swatted it away, bringing the dying child closer to her chest as she continued to weep.
“No,” she shook her head in earnest. “Do not take her. It is not her time.”

The orange hue illuminates your skin
The fleets of whispering breaths weep
You’re but a faded memory
A photograph of my own disgrace
The autumn wind tangles your hair
The fleets of whispering breaths weep
A longing of warmth bids farewell
And I am left desolated, and alone
As the coldness drapes my shoulders,
And the fleets of whispering breaths decease
I am left on my own
And the chain beneath my feet
The flowers bloom and open up
The fleets of urging hymns call
My hand reaches out
The distance closing in
Scraping the pavement my feet pound
The fleets of breath stop
I see the silhouette of your tall frame

We are the bringers of light,
And the sorters of darkness.
We protect mankind,
And rid the world of evil.
We the seal on our skin,
We are protected.
With each other,
We are one.
Together our strength is full and we rise.
Apart our strength is weak and we fall
We did not have to wait long,
For He had sent angels
And blessed us.
Our sin was not wiped away,
But our decision was accepted
And seen as a good deed.
Captured Demons were punished.
And the Nephilim were allowed to protect mankind.
Even the humans in the war were rewarded,
But, there are problems with deals.
Upon falling for the daughters of man,
The children born unto us:
The Nephilim.
At first, they followed the laws,
Until their true nature came forth.
Soon, we were casted out of Heaven.
The fall from grace was terrifying.
We had disobeyed Him.
And now we have to suffer,
With only the bloody wounds of our crime.
Many years went by
And with additional one,
The spared Angel grew concerned.
They remained Watchers,
And remained in Heaven.
They were to only watch,
And not to interfere,
For they were being punished.
Evil spirits and demons roamed the Earth.
Their children few in size.
They, too, become corrupted.
And now are referred to as:
The Rephaim.
A fraction of the Fallen remained loyal
And wanted to repent.
Our cries would go unheard for a while.
More wars broke out.
More casualties.
More violence.
More evil had spread.
We Watchers had had enough.
We did the unthinkable
And rounded all the remaining loyal Angels and Nephilim
